Service Description

Meet like minded people who also have a passion for painting while learning new oil painting techniques, by Dawn Blatherwick, figurative Artist. This course is more about oil paint application and the benefits of working in oils, rather than the process of sketching. Day one begins with gridding a pre primed aluminium panel and drafting a portrait. Using acrylic paint (used to speed up the drying process) the grisaille technique is applied. Day two using oil paints layers of thin paint is applied building up skin tones. The workshop will begin each day with a demonstration from Dawn who will be on hand to guide you through the full process. All equipment, paint are provided all you need to do is turn up!
