This still life gathers together a collection of teapots porcelain, enamel, and metal each carrying its own story of family and tradition. The floral cloth beneath them softens the scene, turning everyday objects into vessels of memory and care. The composition speaks of lineage and quiet ritual, of tea shared and time passed.
It honours the generations who came before those whose warmth and presence still linger in the simple act of pouring tea.

Artist note
The loss of my father brought an unexpected abundance of flowers into my home, along with long moments of reflection. As I painted, I found myself pairing these fresh blooms with treasured possessions that once belonged to my late mother‑in‑law, creating a quiet conversation between the two people who shaped me so deeply. My dad, a painter himself, followed my artistic journey with pride; my mother‑in‑law, ever traditional, loved nothing more than gathering family together.
Through these still life's, I hope I have honoured them both, their stories, their presence, and the love that continues to guide my hands.
